This year, Tironui Music Trust is embracing Giving Tuesday to shine a light on the transformative impact of music education. We’re inviting supporters like you to help open doors for young people who might otherwise miss out, changing lives through music — right when it matters most.
At Tironui Music Trust, we believe that music is a pathway, not just to skills, but to resilience, joy, community, and opportunity.
We provide fully-funded instrumental music programmes to schools across South Auckland, giving children from Years 4–13 the chance to learn an instrument, play in an ensemble, and grow in confidence.
Our string, band, and scholarship programmes nurture hundreds of young musicians every year. We work closely with schools, whānau, and communities to make high-quality music education accessible to those who need it most.
Who we are
Right now, many children in New Zealand never get the chance to pick up an instrument, let alone learn to play it. Tironui changes that story — but we can’t do it alone.
